2015 Raffle Quilt
True North
The True North(96” x 96”), is an original quilt design by guild member Jacqueline Tate, based on the block called Canada Star from Carol Doak's book, Mariner's Compass Stars, published by C&T Publishing. From page 6 of the September 2014 Scraps of Wisdom: "Carol Doak expressly allows for using the patterns to make a quilt for raising charitable funds."
Jacqueline organized the quilt, which was pieced by numerous members of the Waterloo County Quilters’ Guild. It was assembled by Jacqueline along with Cecelia Smith and Audrey Vrooman. The quilt was custom quilted with original quilting designs by Peggy Nagle. Jean Carberry bound the quilt and Audrey Vrooman generously provided the wool batting.
