Newsletter Advertising
Advertisements for the WCQG newsletter, which is posted online, are accepted at the discretion of the guild executive. Content must be sewing or quilt-related.
Published nine times a year, our newsletter, Scraps of Wisdom, is circulated to over 250 local quilters, and shared online with quilt guilds. For the website, the newsletter is posted as a PDF in colour, in 8.5" x 11" format.
Rates per issue ($CDN)
Classified Ads
Guild members may place one free classified ad per issue of the newsletter.
The classified rates for non-members are:
$10 for up to 50 words & $20 for up to 100 words.
We do not accept longer classified ads from non-members. Content must be quilt-related.
Payments
Payment is due upon publication. Advertisers will be invoiced by the WCQG treasurer.
Any advertiser paying for a full year's advertising (September - June), and who pays within 30 days of the invoice date, will receive a 10% discount for that year.
Please mail your payments to the guild post office box.

September 2017 August 24, 2017 October 2017 September 28, 2017 November 2017 October 26, 2017 January 2018 November 30, 2017 February 2018 January 25, 2018 March 2018 March 1, 2018 April 2018 March 29, 2018 May 2018 April 26, 2018 June 2018 May 26, 2018 Midsummer 2018 July 26, 2018 There are no newsletters for December, July or August.
Submissions
We do not provide artwork or design services. Your advertisement must be one of the following:
- Camera-ready JPEG or BMP file, or
- Text file, plus logo or other graphic as a JPEG or BMP file, or
- Hardcopy of your text – we can scan your logo, but quality of the image cannot be guaranteed.
